The Team
Mike is a PGA Professional with over forty-five years of experience in the golf business. He began his career in the Quad Cities as an Assistant Golf Professional at Pinnacle Country Club and Indian Bluff Golf Course.
While working his way through his Apprenticeship, he transitioned to Florida, working as an Assistant at both the Atlantis Country Club in West Palm Beach and Boca Lago Country Club in Boca Raton.
Upon completion of his apprenticeship, he earned his first Head PGA Pro position. He became the Head Professional and Head Golf Coach, where he graduated from, at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. He served there for 10 years running the Division 1 Golf Program for the Men’s Team as well as managing and running the University owned golf course.
Mike left the University to become the Head Golf Professional at Midland Country Club in Kewanee, IL. Six years later, Mike accepted the position of Director of Golf for the City of Valparaiso, IN where he ran two city owned golf courses.
He later moved into the Chicagoland area and took a position at two different facilities managed by the Billy Casper Golf Management Company. Mike continued his career as Head Professional at Ravisloe Country Club, one of the top ranked public courses in the state.
Mike was the first ever recipient of the Illinois PGA Section Patriot Award in 2020. This award honors PGA Pros who personify patriotism through the game of golf and demonstrate an unwavering commitment and dedication to the men and women who have valiantly served and protected the United States of America.
He is the proud son of a Korean War Veteran who served in the US Air Force. He and his wife, Connie, have two daughters, Stacy and Samantha and three grandchildren.
For nearly thirty years, Tony’s passion for Golf Course/ Turfgrass Management has been unparalleled. He started his career in High School working in the pro shop and on the Grounds at the Palos Hills Municipal Golf Course in Palos Hills, IL. Early in his career, Tony held the positions of Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at both Riverside Golf Club in North Riverside, IL, and Midlothian Country Club, in Midlothian, IL.
In 2000, Tony became the Golf Course Superintendent at the historic Glen View Club in Golf, IL where he was Superintendent for sixteen years.
In 2017 Tony became the General Manager/Golf Course Superintendent at Canal Shores, a nonprofit neighborhood golf course in Evanston, IL.
In March of 2022 Tony became the Golf Course Superintendent here at Odyssey Golf Foundation.
Tony is a graduate of the renowned Penn State Golf Course Turfgrass Management program in State College, PA. He is an avid Chicago Cubs and Penn State Football enthusiast.
Tony has been married to his wife Kristine for 22 years and has a daughter, Baleigh and a Grandson, Augie.
